Happy 2023!

1/1/2023

As we conclude the cultural exploration week of Kwanza, organized by the Village Project, we are infused with a jolt of energy and excited about the year ahead!

This past week, despite the heavy rains in the city, we were delighted to visit the various parts of the city where the seven days of Kwanza were celebrated: we explored books and listened to poetry at the library, enjoyed live performances, laughed, ate and danced at the various community gatherings in our city.

As we contemplate the year ahead, this coming term, we’re looking forward to Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s birthday later in January as well as Black History Month in February.

We are thrilled about making new friends, reconnecting with old ones, and engaging with more families and children!

Here’s to a fantastic 2023 to you and yours!
